Yusr launches Yusr Later with Taysir Finance Company

Eligible purchases can now be split into four payments over six weeks, with no interest and no fees when the plan is paid on time.

RIYADH, 12 November 2025 — Yusr Bank today launched Yusr Later, an instalment feature that lets customers split an eligible purchase into four payments spread over six weeks. The first payment is taken at the time of purchase and the remaining three are collected every two weeks from the customer's Yusr Current account. There is no interest, and no fee at all when the plan is paid on schedule.

Yusr Later is delivered in partnership with Taysir Finance Company, a finance company licensed by the Saudi Central Bank. Taysir underwrites and services the instalment plans. Yusr provides the customer experience inside its app — choosing which purchase to split, seeing the schedule, and watching the balance come down.

The feature begins rolling out today to Yusr Current customers on iOS and Android and will reach the full customer base over the following three weeks. It sits inside the app the customer already uses, so there is nothing extra to download, no separate account to open and no new set of login details to remember.

How the partnership works

Two companies, one screen

Customers see a single flow in the Yusr app. Behind it, the two companies do different jobs, and each does the part it is set up to do.

Taysir Finance Company has operated in the Kingdom since 2021 and holds a finance company licence from the Saudi Central Bank. Yusr Later is the first product the two companies have built together.

Builds and runs the experience in the app — the purchase list, the split screen, the schedule and reminders Underwrites each instalment plan and carries it on its own book
Holds the Yusr Current account the instalments are collected from Services the plan for its full life, including collections if a payment is missed
Shares how the customer's Yusr account has been running, so eligibility can be judged Runs its own affordability assessment and makes the lending decision
Answers day-to-day questions through 24/7 in-app chat and phone support Handles anything relating to the credit agreement itself

How eligibility is decided

Eligibility for Yusr Later is assessed jointly. Taysir performs its own affordability checks on every applicant, and those checks are made alongside the customer's Yusr account activity — how long the account has been open, the income arriving into it, the balances typically held, and whether existing commitments have been met on time. A customer who has banked with Yusr for a year is a better-understood borrower than one who opened an account last week, and the decision reflects that.

The result is that most customers are told whether they can use Yusr Later before they ever try to split a purchase, rather than at the till. Limits are set per customer and shown openly in the app, and they move as the picture changes. Nothing is offered on the basis of a single purchase in isolation.

"The thing people dislike about paying in instalments is not the instalments. It is being sent somewhere else to arrange them — a different app, a different account, a different company chasing you for a payment you had already forgotten about. Taysir knows how to underwrite this properly and we know our customers. Putting those two things behind one screen is the whole product."

Where it can be used

Yusr Later works on eligible purchases made with the Yusr Card, online and in store, at merchants across the Kingdom on the mada network. There is no separate checkout button to look for and no merchant sign-up required: the customer pays as normal, then opens the app within 48 hours, taps the transaction and chooses to split it.

Purchases between SAR 300 and SAR 5,000 are eligible. Government payments, cash withdrawals, transfers and top-ups to other wallets cannot be split.

Common questions

What customers have asked so far

There is no interest on a Yusr Later plan, and no arrangement fee. If a payment is missed, Taysir applies a late fee set out in the agreement the customer accepts when the plan is created. Pay on schedule and the total is exactly the price of the purchase.

Taysir makes the lending decision, using its own affordability assessment together with how the customer's Yusr account has been running. Customers see the outcome in the Yusr app, and the reason if a plan cannot be offered.

Yes, at any point and at no cost. Open the plan in the app and pay the remaining balance in one go. There is nothing to gain by waiting and nothing lost by finishing early.

The refund goes back to the Yusr Card in the usual way. Once the merchant has processed it, the plan is adjusted or closed and any payments already collected are returned.

Up to four plans can run at the same time, within the overall limit shown in the app. New plans are not offered while a payment is overdue.

Important information

Yusr Later is provided in partnership with Taysir Finance Company, a finance company licensed by the Saudi Central Bank. Plans are subject to eligibility and to Taysir's assessment, which includes a review of the applicant's credit record. Missed payments may affect that record and may make future borrowing harder or more expensive. Late fees apply as set out in the plan agreement. Yusr Later is not a credit card and no interest is charged.

Yusr Later is in the app now

Open the app, find a recent Yusr Card purchase and choose Split. If you are not with us yet, a Current account takes about eight minutes to open.
